First Train Arrived
July 20, 1886

According to the best information which we have been able to receive, and the only information which was recorded that we have been able to locate of the first arrival of a train in Farnam, is given by W. M. Stebbins of Gothenburg. This information was taken from a diary, which he kept at that time, and according to Mr. Stebbins the first train arrived at Farnam the evening of July 20, 1886. Mr. Stebbins gives and account of this arrival in his contribution to the Jubilee Edition, which is printed on another page.
