John Simeon Hall, son of Geo. and Elizabeth Hall was born at Humboldt, Nebraska on June 5th, 1880 and departed this life at Cozad, Nebraska on October 7th, 1952, aged seventy two years, 4 months and 5 days.

When he was three years of age his parents moved to Orafino, Nebraska, where they homesteaded. Here he grew to manhood. For some time he lived in Idaho and Colorado.

He was married to Etta McCarl on July 4th, 1905 and to this union two children, Fern and Donald, were born.

On December 16th, 1916, he was married to Mrs. Della Pierce and five children were born to this union; Marie the firstborn passing away in infancy.

THe others are, Gertrude, now Mrs. Walter Meyers, Wayne, Nebraska, Paul and Pauline, twins, Paul at home, Pauline now Mrs. Elmo Copass, living north of Cozad, and Lawrence of Cozad. Three step children are living.

Mr. and Mrs. Hall moved to Kansas City in 1922 where they lived for approximately one year. In the late fall of 1923 they came to Cozad where they have since resided.

Besides his wife and children, two sisters and two brothers survive him: Mrs. Orlando Rogers, Orafino, Nebraska, Mrs. Grace Harvey, Haigler, Nebraska, Roy Hall of Greeley, Colorado and Frank Hall of Caldwell, Idaho. Fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren are living.

Burial was made in the cemetery at Orafino where his father and mother are buried.
