Walter L. Gardner, 67, 556 Harrison street, died at 4:03 a.m. Monday at the Magic Valley Memorial hospital following a month’s illness.

Born Jan. 2, 1888, at Farnam, Nebr., Mr. Gardner came to Magic Valley in 1910 and moved to Twin Falls in 1941.

Surviving are his widow; three sons, Joseph M. Gardner, American Falls, and Rex D. Gardner and Walter L. Gardner, Jr., both Twin Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Velma Trueblood, Buhl, and Mrs. Mary H. Tarr, Boise; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Patterson and Mrs. Mazie Brown, both Filer; Mrs. Hattie Dedmore, North Platte, Nebr., and Mrs. Mae Hicks, Grand Island, Nebr.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Reynolds funeral home with the Rev. Ray Eugene Crow officiating.

Concluding rites will be held at Sunset Memorial park.
