Obituary Collection
Ray Louis Tonne

Ray Louis Tonne was born at Farnam, Nebraska, Jan. 18, 1892 and died at Eustis, Nebraska, April 8, 1917, aged 25 years, 2 months and 20 days.

While a small lad the family moved to Wyoming and later to Salt Lake City. The past few years were spent in this part of the country.

When he first became ill he was working for Fred Drucker. Sunday, April 1, the family thought he had better rest up and took him to the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Rupe. At this time it was thought that hea was in no critical condition but later developments showed that he was failing. April 6 he was brought to Eustis and taken to the home of Roy Parson where he was under the care of Mrs. Parson. All that could be done was done for the boy but medical aid could not detain the grim reaper. He died Sunday evening without a struggle.

The Rector Hartman of the Episcopalian church of Holdrege held the funeral services Tuesday afternoon in the Evangelical church. The body was laid to rest in the family lot beside his mother and sister in the Eustis cemetery.
