Albert E. Tonne, 76, Geraldine, died Friday morning in a local hospital where he had been a patient for one day. Private funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Croxford & Sons Mortuary with Rev. Richard Gustafson officiating. Cremation will follow.

Tonne, who lived in the Geraldine-Geyser area for the past 50 years, homesteaded in the Eagle Butte area in 1917 and returned to the homestead after servicing with the Army overseas in World War I. He was born Nov. 3, 1889, in Farnam, Neb.

His widow, Rae, survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. John (Rita) Peters, Square Butte; four sons, Willard G. of Fort Benton and Charles A., Wayne R. and Jerry C., all of Geraldine; seven grandchildren and three nephews.
