Obituary
Mrs. Frank Rupe, nee Tonne, daughter of Lee and Sarah Tonne, was born on Febr. 26th, 1886, at Farnam, Nebr., and departed this life at the farm home south of Eustis on Sunday, Sept. 10th, 1950, having reached the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 14 days. On November 11, 1907, she was united in marriage with Frank Rupe, at Elwood, Nebr. All of her life was spent near Eustis, save for five years, when she lived at Salt Lake City, Utah.
Three sons came to bless this union, Harvey, of Orafino, Nebr., Ray and Irven of Eustis, Nebr. She was baptised in the Episcopal Church at Farnam, Nebr., and was a member of that church until 1937, when she transferred her membership to the Evangelical United Brethern Church, at Eustis, Nebr., and remained a member until her passing.
Mrs. Rupe was a kind and loving wife and mother. For forty three years she shared the joys and happiness of home and family life. She was constantly concerned about others.
Mrs. Rupe had been in ill health more or less for some time, and it became necessary for her to spend several months in the Community Hospital at Lexington. It was only on Sept. 3rd that she was brought back to her home, where everything that loving hands could do to make her comfortable, was done.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved husband, Frank Rupe, three sons, Harvey, Ray and Irven, nine grandchildren, one brother, Albert Tonne, of Geraldine, Montana, a host of other relatives and friends. One brother, Ray Tonne, and one sister, Minnie Tonne preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon from the Evangelical United Brethern Church, with the Rev. F. C. Ebinger officiating. On octet of men consisting of Fred Hueftle, Edwin Hueftle, Dean Hueftle, Walter Hueftle, John Hueftle, Otto Hueftle, F. J. Timm and E. C. Schroeder sang two numbers, “Going Down the Valley,” and “Beyond the Sunset,” accompanied by Mrs. Paul Fasse.
Mr. L. W. Gauger, H. F. Fasse, Roy Stubblefield, Carl Wilkins, Otto Nauman, and Edward Luedemann served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Eustis Cemetery.
