Darla Lungrin

Darla Darlene Lungrin (Dishman) born June 5, 1960 at Gothenburg Hospital to Grant and Doriene (Horner) Dishman and left this life on October 9, 2024.

Darla had a long career at the Eustis-Farnam Schools where she made many friends there that she cherished. Darla was a stranger to no one. She loved her family fiercely and had an amazing outlook on life. She married the love of her life Roger Lungrin on June 22, 1996 at the Methodist Church in Gothenburg.

She loved doing crafts with her children all the way to her great-grandchildren. Darla created and ran the Farnam Car Show for 16 years. She loved decorating the yard for each holiday. She had a dear friend Barb Heller she held close to her heart for over 45+ years. Darla did many things for her community and will be dearly missed. She was often seen buzzing around in her side by side with a big smile on her face and a friendly wave to anyone she passed.

She is survived by her true love of 31 years, Roger Lungrin, her children, Kelly Jo Brian of Gothenburg and her children, Alexis, Ziek, Xanthia, Trinity and James (JJ) Brian, her son, Jeremy (Adina) and their children, Jayden, Ashlyn and Paisley Puryear of Wellfleet. She is also survived by her brothers, Danny (Aurelia), Randy (Patty) and Terry (Mary) Dishman, and many loved family members and friends.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Wilma Dishman, her son, Jr. Puryear, brothers, Jr., Tim, and Rusty, and her sister, Marcia Dishman.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Monday, October 14, 2024, 1:00-7:00 pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Services will be held at Farnam Methodist Church, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dynette Oberg officiating.

Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the Farnam Methodist Church.
