Thomas Faulkes was born in England in 1820. Came to this country and settled in Michigan from which state he enlisted and served with credit during the war. He was a hale and hearty old man until within the last two months. His death was comparatively painless. He has for some time resided with his son, G. D. Faulkes, at whose home he died on the morning of Decoration Day, aged 76. He was buried at the cemetery at Earl on Sunday, May 31, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. E. E. Sprague of Farnam.
