Earl A. Brown passed away on Saturday, July 16, at Mercy hospital in Denver, Colo., after an extended illness. He was 57 years old.

Mr. Brown was born at Farnam January 13, 1892. He had been in the implement and hardware business many years, both at Farnam and Curtis. In later years he was a real estate broker in Curtis.

Advised of his failing health, he sold this business and the past ten months was in Denver for medical treatment.

He is survived by his wife, Clara H. Brown; a daughter, Rita Brown Davis, both of Denver; three brothers, Orlie K. of Arapahoe, Robert S. of Barstow, California, Harold H. of Vancouver, Washington, and one sister, Mrs. Lettie Wilson of Alhambra, California. There are three granddaughters. A daughter, Betty Brown Parker, preceded him in death June 18, 1948.

The years Earl lived in this vicinity he had many friends and was a friend to all, and will be sadly missed in the community.

Services were held in Denver at the Howard mortuary Tuesday, July 19. Interment at Crown Hill cemetery.—Curtis Enterprise.
