Bernard Basil Thorell was born January 25, 1943 in rural Gothenburg, NE to Ehme and Edith (Pyzer) Thorell. He passed away on January 8th, 2021 at the St. Clar Hospital in Lakewood, WA.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Carl and Mary Thorell and Walter and Nellie Pyzer; parents Ehme and Edith Thorell; sister Karen Nichelson and infant sister Mary Belle; brother-in-laws Bud Earl, Stanley Anders, Chuck Gardmen, John Nichelson, and Stanley Smith.

Bernard is survived by sisters Dorthy Anders, Gothenburg, NE; Irleen (Rich Gauld) Gardner of Largo, FL; Rosemary (Joe) Garcia of Cochiti Lake, NM, and Mona Smith of Belfair, WA; brothers Dennis (Jane) Thorell, Lakewood, CO, and Lyle (Marilyn) Thorell of Belleview, FL. Cremation was chosen and his ashes were buried in the Farnam, NE Cemetery.
