Mrs. Lela V. Luepnitz
Funeral services for Mrs. Lela V. Luepnitz, who passed away Saturday night at 10:55 o’clock at the family home, 586 W. Ceter street, will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic church Thursday morning at 9 o’clock. Interment will be made in Holy Cross cemetery.
A rosary service will be held in Todd & Reeves chapel Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock. Friends will also meet at the chapel Thursday morning at 8:30 o’clock to accompany the body to the church.
Mrs. Luepnitz was born in Farnam, Neb., January 13, 1909, and came to California 12 years ago from Allenville, Mich., moving to Pomona two years later. She was a member of the Catholic church and was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
Besides her husband, Joe W. Luepnitz, she is survived by her six-year-old daughter, Mary Virginia; infant son, James Joseph; father Oscar Maurer, Savannah, Ill.; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Powell of Pomona; an uncle, John Colligan, Pomona; two aunts, Mrs. Herbert (Annie) Newth, Venango, Neb., and Mrs. Danial (Luella) Airhart, Savannah, Ill.
