Thomas Jefferson Wood was born Feb. 18, 1857 near Lebanon, Indiana and died July 14th, 1941 at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 4 days. His home was at Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

He moved to Missouri while a boy and grew to manhood. He came to Nebraska in 1884, and homesteaded 6 miles southeast of Curtis. In 1890 he married Alda Le Dema Martin, who died in 1932. To this union were born four children, two of them preceded him in death.

Surviving Mr. Wood are two daughters, Mrs. Clara Henry of Enid, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Edna Osterhoudt of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; one brother, Sam Wood, Curtis; and two sisters, Mrs. Sara Curtis, Caldwell, Idaho and Mrs. Rose Scott, Jamesport, Mo.; besides several other relatives and friends.
