Alice (Surber) Johnson
Alice Surber was born March 16, 1874 near Marysville, Worth county, Mo., and departed this life May 10, 1928, at her home near Liverpool, Pa. Age 54 years, 1 month and 25 days.
At the age of 3 she moved with her parents near Oak, Nuckolls county, Nebraska and in 1880 the family moved to Frontier county, near Orafino. Here she grew to womanhood.
On November 15, 1897, she was united in marriage to Amos H. Johnson, who preceded her in death less than two years ago. To this union 8 children were born, Lawrence of near Orafino, Nebr., Elmer, Howard, Clark, Ethel, Dean and Hugh all living in Penn., and Lottie who died in childhood.
The family moved to Pa., in March 1913, residing there tow years and then returned to Orafino for one year and then back to Penn., where she has since made her home.
She is survived by her seven children and one full sister, Mrs. L. S. Brittenham of Moorefield, Nebr., a step-mother, two half-brothers and four half-sisters.
