Owner of Wealthy Mineral Holdings Pneumonia Victim
Frank D. Murphy of Cima, Cal., Succumbs at Long Beach Home.
Following a short illness, Frank D. Murphy, 58, owner of extensive mine holdings at Cima, Cal., died last night at 2227 California Avenue. Two weeks ago, accompanied by members of his family, Mr. Murphy returned to his Long Beach home from Cima. Shortly after reaching here, he contracted pneumonia, from which he died last night. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge and was well known in this city.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy, and eight children, Anson, Herbert, Dallas and Douglas Murphy, all of Long Beach; Edward Murphy of Cima, and Mrs. Susan Blair, Long Beach, and Mesdames Laura DecLogan and Sarah Wilhelm, both of Loma Linda, Calif.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Holton & Son.
