Resolutions of Condolence
Moorefield, Neb., Nov. 27, 1890
Whereas, It has pleased the Ruler of the universe to remove from our midst our neighbor and brother in the alliance, John W. Gerlits, in whom we found traits of character which proclaimed him one of Nature’s noblemen; therefore be it
Resolved, That we tender our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family of Bro. Gerlits, and pray that they may find consolation in the thought that Jesus doeth all things well.
Resolved, That Pleasant Ridge Alliance No. 570, be draped in mourning for 30 days.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the journal, a copy be sent to the Farmers’ Alliance and Stockville papers for publication and a copy be presented to the family of our deceased brother.
