OBITUARY
Viola Alice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Knoedler, was born on a farm near Farnam, Nebraska on September 5, 1911, and died in the General hospital at Kearney, Nebr., on February 26, 1930, at the age of 18 years, 5 months and 21 days. Death was due to complications resulting from an operation for appendicitis.
Viola was an affectionate and dutiful daughter and sister, much beloved by her family and all who knew her. Being the eldest daughter at home and having shared so largely the responsibility of the home makes her going the more noticeable and harder to bear, especially to mother to whom one such a comfort and help.
She was a member of the Evangelical church, uniting with the church under the ministry of Rev. B.A. Shively. She is another example of one who gave her heart to Christ and united with the church at an early age. She was also member of the Young People's Sunday school class.
Her father and two brothers preceded her in death, brother Harry only a few weeks since. She leaves to mourn her untimely going a loving and grief stricken mother; four brothers, John, Elmer, Roy and Benney; and two sisters, Hazel and Mrs. J. Cochran, all of Cozad, besides her special friend, Hubert Parsons, and a large number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the First Evangelical church on Sunday afternoon, March 2nd, and interment was made in the White Rabbit Cemetery.---Cozad Local.
