Mary McNish Smith was born near Edinborough, Scotland, October 23, 1858 and passed away Nov. 17, 1933 at the home of her son, Walter in Farnam. She remained in Scotland until twenty-one years of age, when she came to Lincoln, Illinois with an uncle.

She was united in marriage to George Smith on January 1887.

From Illinois she came with her husband to Dorchester, Nebr., where they resided most of the time until Grandma came to live here with her son, Walter in Farnam on October 1932.

She leaves to mourn their loss her son Walter and family of this place and friends.
