The Hour of Returning
When they shall tell you I am gone,
Bow not with grief, dear heart
I shall comeback before each dawn,
As the last stars depart.
Then you shall hear my voice, be kissed
Softly as flowers caress,
And you shall think wind and mist—
Child of my happiness!
This which was granted when the drum
Called, and I went away;
Children of the shagreen eyes, I come
Between the dawn and the day!
Funeral services were held from the Orafino Evangelical church, Thursday afternoon of last week, and the body laid to rest in the Marlin Cemetery. Rev. M F. Lempke was the officiating minister. May God's grace comfort the sorrowing family.
