PALISADE — Berthil Alvin Donelson, 72, of Mesa died at 4:15 a.m. at his son’s ranch east of Mesa. He had lived at Mesa for two years.

Born April 11, 1895, at Farnam, Neb., he grew up and attended high school there.

He married Iva Jane Harvey at Elsie, Neb., on Jan. 16, 1921. She survives.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and served in World War I.

Other survivors include a son, Kenneth D. of Mesa; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Wolfe of Lakewood; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at the Logan Street Church of Christ in Denver. Military services and burial will be in the Ft. Logan National Cemetery. McLain’s Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
