Floyd Brooks Dies Suddenly Tuesday Morning
Word was received here Tuesday morning of the untimely death of Floyd Brooks at his home near Elwood. Floyd is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Brooks, who reside southwest of town, and is quite well and favorably known here and in the surrounding territory, he having taught several terms of school around here.
We understand that his wife woke ... and found him gasping for breath and immediately called the doctor, but he died in about 30 minutes. It is thot that heart trouble was the cause of death.
Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church in Elwood Friday afternoon at 2:30.
