Joseph Stephens, north of this place died last Friday afternoon, after a lingering illness. The funeral was held at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, and the remains laid to rest in the Moorefield cemetery. He leaves a wife and four children, besides a host of friends, to mourn his loss.
