Funeral Services For L. J. Castor Are Held Sunday

Funeral services were conducted from the Evangelical church at Orafino Sunday afternoon, July 22, at 2:00 o'clock for Lewis Jackson Castor, 68, who passed away at his home near Orafino Thursday. Services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Jones of Cambridge, and interment was in the Orafino cemetery.

Obituary

Lewis Jackson Castor was born at Seymour, Ill., Sept. 4, 1876 and departed this life at his home near Orafino, Nebr., July 19, 1945, at the age of 68 years, ten months and fifteen days, after an illness of six weeks. His health and been failing for two years.

He was the son of Gabriel and Ellen Castor and came to Frontier county, Nebr., with his parents at the age of seven years.

He was married to Lizzie Presler on Jan 28, 1900. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Two sons died early in life. Delbert Francis at the age of two years and Rolland Ralph at the age of three years and four months. His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He leaves his devoted wife, one son, Glenn Castor, his daughter, Della Buker and eight grandchildren.

His four sisters, Mrs. Ollie Hartman, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Ida Thompson, Meridian, Idaho; Mrs. Oma Hill, Hawk Springs, Wyo., and Mrs. Lizzie Messersmith, Mountain Grove, Mo., and other relatives and friends also survive.

He was a faithful, devoted companion, a loving father and his home held his greatest interest. He was always ready to assist others and will be greatly missed in his home and community. He has gone to his long rest where there is no more suffering.
