Charlotte Ferne Metcalf, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Metcalf, died at the home, eight miles south of Farnam Sunday evening, April 16, 1916, after an illness of two weeks. She was a great sufferer and made a struggle for life but when the Death Angel came nothing that friends could do could stay the hand of death.

She was born May 4, 1915, departed this world April 16, 1916, age 11 months and 12 days.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet, pastor of the Methodist church of Farnam, and was buried in the Orafino cemetery.

The sorrow stricken friends have the sympathy of the community.
