Mrs. S. D. Mast

Mrs. S. D. Mast, who has been very sick for the past several weeks, died at her home near this city Saturday evening, January 15th.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. R. Skinner at the M. E. church Monday. Interment in the Moorefield cemetery.

Mrs. Mast was widely known and liked by all; by her passing the community loses a good neighbor, a kind and self sacrificing mother and a devoted wife. She leaves a husband, two sons and a daughter to mourn her loss.

[Mary L. Wood was born in Boone county, Indiana, August 25, 1858. Moved to Daviess county, Missouri, in the fall of 1866. Came to Frontier county, Nebraska, in the fall of 1888. Was married to Stephen Mast, September 29, 1889. To this union was born three children, all of whom are living. She died at her home near Moorefield January 15, 1916, aged 57 years, 2 months and 20 days. She leaves a husband, three children and one grandchild, also four sisters and three brothers. She became a member of the Christian church of White Field, Missouri, in early girlhood.]—Moorefield Chronicle.
