Ed Gardner Dies
Ed C. Gardner, a resident of Filer, Idaho, for the last five years and manager of the Filer highway district died August 2, 1951 at his home following a long illness. Mr. Gardner was born in Farnam, Nebraska on April 14, 1886. He went to Filer from Jerome, where he had been a farmer until his retirement in 1947. He married Nellie May Hampson at Farnam in 1905.
He was a member of the Filer Baptist church and a charter member of the Filer Grange.
Surviving are his widow, one son, Delbert Gardner of Albany, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs . Warren Russell of New Plymouth, Idaho and Mrs. Jack Williams of Martinez, California; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Patterson of Filer; Mrs. H.V. Dedmore of North Platte, Nebraska; Mrs. Claude Brown of Filer; and Mrs. O.P. Hicks of Grand Island, Nebraska; two brothers, Floyd Gardner of Jerome, Idaho and Walter Gardner of Twin Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held August 4th at the Filer Baptist church with the Rev. Ernest Trapp officiating. Burial was in the Filer Odd Fellows cemetery.
