Jeffry Allen Pike
Jeffry Allen Pike, 47, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community.
Jeff was born August 8, 1969, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Jerry Lee and Judy (Brown) Pike. He moved to the Lexington area as a young man, and graduated from Farnam High School with the class of 1988. He was married to Michelle Gutierrez and three children were born to this marriage; Desiree, Dana, and Broderick. He then had a relationship with Sarah Warren, which produced three children.
During Jeffry’s working years he worked for Cornland Dressed Beef, Monroe Auto, Nebraskland Tire, and T.O. Haas. He moved to Beatrice for six years where he worked for a lawn care service, this is where he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in 2014. He was forced to quit work and took disability.
He loved gardening and yard work. He shot pool in a pool league, enjoyed Nascar, Nebraska football, and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
At the time of his death he was a resident of Plum Creek Healthcare Community. He was a nice guy, who loved his kids, and grandchildren very much and will be so very missed.
Survivors include his father, Jerry Pike of Beatrice, Nebraska; stepfather, Al Moore of Farnam, Nebraska; children, Broderick "Bubba" Pike of Lexington, Nebraska, Desiree (Oscar) Cabellos of Lexington, Nebraska, and Dana Pike of Lexington, Nebraska; one brother, Jay (Marci) Pike of Curtis, Nebraska; one sister, Jodi Moore of Lexington, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Jocelyn Cabellos, Gabriela Cabellos, Isaac Pike, Rafael Cabellos, and Adelina Cabellos; as well as nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents; Leona & Kenneth Brown; mother, Judy Moore; niece, Tasha Pike; and nephew, Shane Miller.
It was Jeffry’s wishes his body be cremated. There will be no visitation.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating.
Inurnment will be held later with family in Barnestein Cemetery at Wymore, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
