FRONTEIR COUNTY EARLY SETTLER GETS SUMMONS
Death came to Mrs. C. M. Simonds, 69, at there home at Stockville, last Friday, July 25, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Stockville Congregational church with Rev. J. E. Craig of Trenton in charge.
Mr. and Mrs. Simonds came to Frontier county in 1885, settling on a homestead four miles northwest of Stockville. Six years later they moved to town, Mr. Simonds going into the mercantile and abstract business.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Simonds leaves a son, B. W. Simonds of Trenton. —McCook Gazette
