CURTIS — Services were held Monday at the Congregational Church in Curtis for Mary E. Taylor, long-time resident of Frontier County, who passed away at a North Platte rest home November 16, 1963. She was 97 years old.

Mrs. Taylor was born at Bancroft, Mo., and came to Frontier County with four brothers when they homesteaded southeast of Curtis. She returned to Missouri and was married to Thomas Taylor of Moorefield in 1892. They made their home on his homestead south of Moorefield until 1918 when they moved near Curtis.

Survivors include Mrs. Amy Price, Curtis; Mrs. Mabel Nutt of Denver; Lester Taylor of Moorefield; 17 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
