Mrs. Sarah E. Konkle

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Konkle, 84, a resident of Scottsbluff for 30 years, and well-known here in family and church circles, died at her home in Scottsbluff last night. Funeral services have not yet been arranged.

She is survived by five daughters and one son, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

The daughters are Mrs. J. W. Kilburn, Wray, Colo.; Mrs. O. R. Price, Parmo, Idaho; Mrs. J. C. Marlin, White River, S. D.; Mrs. Guy Lane, Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. J. A. Snider, of Scottsbluff. One son, Roy Konkle, resides in Scottsbluff.

Her husband, John Konkle, died in Scottsbluff on April 27, 1924. A daughter, Mrs. Marion Kilburn, preceded Mrs. Konkle in death, and Mrs. Kilburn’s two daughters, Mrs. O. A. Eatwell and Mrs. Earl Otte, both live in Scottsbluff.

Mrs. Konkle was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, on Nov. 7, 1849, and was 84 years, two months, and 18 days old when she died. She was married to John Konkle at Shambaugh, Iowa, in 1870.

She has been a member of the United Brethren church for 35 years.
