Elizabeth E. Brewer was born November 20, 1816, in Christian county, Kentucky, and died at her home near Moorefield, Nebr., March 13, 1907, aged 90 years, 3 months and 21 days. Left an orphan when about 12 or 13 years old, she went to live with her sister in Illinois. There she was married to John Nall in March 31, 1834. She moved to Nebraska in 1887, settling near Moorefield, where she has since lived.

To this union were born ten children, four of whom are still living, James and John of this county, Mrs. Elizabeth Fanning of Illinois, and Mrs. Martha Fanning of Colorado. Her husband died in 1855 leaving to her the care of the home.

She sent two boys to the war of 1861-65. One came home and left the other in the great south land.

She united with the M. E. church in 1853. The local church of which she was a member was disbanded ten or twelve years after her admission. She then united with the Baptist church, of which she has since been a member.

The funeral services were conducted from the house by the pastor of the M. E. church at Moorefield, Rev. H. L. Case.
