Another of Moorefield’s pioneers and highly respected citizens passed away. Mrs. Henry Pfeiffer died at her home Sunday, Dec. 17, 1916, at the age of seventy–five. Funeral services were held at Moorefield Wednesday afternoon. She leaves a devoted She leaves a devoted husband, children, relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

Mr. and Mrs. Pfeiffer were among the early pioneer homesteaders in this country, taking claims near Moorefield in 1884. They have lived in that locality during all those years and have been counted as one of Moorefield’s respected, generous and loyal citizens, always lending a helping hand and word for the upbuilding of the town, community and county.
