Obituary
Nancy P. Dunbar was born near Bloomington, Illinois, April 23, 1866, and departed this life at her home near Moorefield, Nebr., April 5, 1932, at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 13 days.
In her early youth she came with her parents to Harlan county, Nebraska.
In the year 1884, she was united in marriage to Thomas F. Dunbar.
To this union were born five children. Two having died in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her loss three children: Oliver Dunbar of Fleming, Colo., Mrs. Clara Herndon and Mrs. Glenn Palmmer both of Moorefield, Nebraska, and eight grandchidlren, and one great-grandchild. Also two brothers, John and Louis Dunbar of Tacoma, Washington, and other relatives and a host of friends.
She had been in ill health for several years, but had been failing fast for the past six weeks.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized into the Baptist church and remained faithful to the end.
Indeed will the voice of a kind and loving mother and grandmother be missed by the children and grandchildren in the home.
A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which can never be filled.
God in his wisdom has recalled,
The boon his love had given.
And though the body slumbers
The soul is safe in heaven.
Funeral services were held at the community church Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. E. C. Barton of Farnam, and interment was made in the Moorefield cemetery.
