Nona M. Cooper
Nona Mary Cooper, 87, former Gandy resident, died Sept. 14, 1994, at her home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1906, to James A. and Lulu Heath Teel at Farnam, where she grew up and graduated from school. She attended business school in Grand Island.
She married Marion Cooper July 16, 1939, at Dennison, Iowa. They moved to North Platte in 1980 after spending several years in Gandy.
Survivors include her husband of North Platte; a son Mirl (Joan) of Pine Grove, Penn.; four daughters, Leta Larimore of Mesa, Ariz., Madeleine (Norman) Kirschbaum of Grand Island, Nancy (Richard) Van Rotz of Omaha, and Anna Ham of North Platte; two sisters, Gladys Harwood of Deaver, Wyo.; and Luella Stevens of Gothenberg; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll and Jim, and a sister, Ethel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Adams and Swanson Chapel with the Rev. Norman Kirschbaum officiating. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
