Mrs. Helen Hecox
Services Held Monday

Mrs. Helen Hecox, daughter of Isaiah and Olive Curtis, was born January 22, 1889, at Corning, Iowa, and passed away from this life, Saturday, May 19, 1962, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.

At the age of fourteen she moved, with her family, from Iowa to Nebraska.

When a young girl she became a member of the Methodist Church and has been a faithful worker all her life.

After several years of teaching school in the Banner-Peckham Community, she was united in marriage on May 22, 1911, to Albert Hecox. To this union was born two sons, and one daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert.

She is survived by one son, Walter, of Gothenburg; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Eads, Colo.; one brother, Ike Curtis of Hermiston, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde McKain and Mrs. Albert McKain of North Platte; six grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 21, 10:00 a.m., at the First Methodist Church, with Rev. Clarence Buehler and Rev. James Lane officiating. Music was provided by the Methodist Men’s Quartet, accompanied by John Greene, Jr. Pallbearers were Ray Stickelman, Richard Hecox, Arch Trimble, Eugene Cox, Glenn Hyde and Kenneth Oman. Interment was in the Peckham Cemetery.
