Word received here states that Phil Moyer was found dead in his bed at Lancaster, Calif., Saturday morning. He was a resident of this community several years ago and will be remembered by the older residents.

He was 69 years of age and was born at Loganville, Wis. [On] January 10, 1910, he was married to Myrtle Lenora Quick, to which union one son, Charles, was born. Other survivors include his widow and two step-children, Gilbert Hicks of San Gabriel and Mrs. Orrie Stebbins of Lancaster.

The Moyer family moved to Lancaster from Farnam in 1927. While here he was engaged in draying and farming but of late has been in the trucking business.

Funeral services were held at the Community Methodist church in Lancaster October 5.
