OBITUARY
John A. Evarts

John A. Evarts, son of Leman and Mary E. Evarts, was born at Capron, Illinois, April 18, 1872, and died at a hospital in North Platte, Nebr., Jan. 27, 1939, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 9 days.

He moved to Kansas with his parents when six months of age. In 1892 he moved to eastern Nebraska, where he resided two years, then moved to near Brady where he spent the remainder of his life.

He is survived by three brothers, Tom of Colorado, Charles of Iowa, and Bert of Brady, Nebr.; one sister, Mrs. Billie Snodgrass of Washington, and many other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death several years ago.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29, in the Methodist church in Brady with the pastor, Rev. W. H. Hendrickson in charge. Burial was in the Gaslin cemetery south of Brady.

Pallbearers were: Arthur Peterson, Ben Litchenberger, John Litchenberger, Kenneth Abercrombie, J. F. Johnson, and Harry Johnson.
