Roy Tibbetts Dies Wednesday of Heart Attack
Roy Tibbetts, a well known Wray resident, died Wednesday afternoon, apparently from a heart attack. He had been working in a yard at the Ed McKie home. His body was found about 5 o’clock in the yard and he had apparently been dead for some time before the body was discovered. No funeral arrangements had been made last evening, waiting word from his children who live in California. The Lockwood Mortuary will be in charge of the services.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE MONDAY FOR ROY A. TIBBETTS
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian church in Wray for Roy A. Tibbetts, who died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon of last week. The services were conducted by Rev. S.F. Bullard and Rev. R.J. McKowen and were followed by burial in Grandview cemetery.
Mr. Tibbetts, son of William W. and Ella M. Tibbetts, was born at Lamoni, Iowa, on December 4, 1875 and died on April 26, 1950, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 22 days.
He was married to Mrs. Dollie Morris and six children, two sons and four daughters, were born to them. The surviving children are Milo Eugene of Santa Susana, Calif., Mrs. Tom Newcomer of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Eva Witt of Los Angeles.
Mr. Tibbetts had been a resident of Wray for the past 12 years, moving here from Haigler, Neb. He was a friendly, kindly man, and had made many friends in this locality.
On November 4, 1918, he was married to Mrs. Cora Quarton of Slater, Mo. They adopted three sons, Oscar A. Tibbetts of Ft. Morgan, Earl Mace and Eugene Mace.
Mr. Tibbetts united with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in his youth and he was a faithful member of that faith through the remainder of his life.
Besides his children and his wife, Cora Tibbetts; survivors include a sister, Mrs. Charles Sibert of Tekamah, Neb.; and two brothers, James E. Tibbetts of Los Angeles and Sidney G. Tibbetts of Maxwell, Neb.
