Leander L. Neal, 64, of North Platte, died Friday in a local hospital of illness that resulted from a stroke in December. He was a machinist in the Union Pacific shops in North Platte, had lived there 25 years.

Survivors: Wife, Bessie, and daughters, Mrs. E. H. Sonneman, North Platte, and Mrs. Frank Walter, Sidney, Neb.

The body was sent from the Brailey & Dorrance funeral home to North Platte for services and burial.
