Grant Mosley Laid to Rest
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 in the home, and 2 o’clock at the Methodist church for Grant Mosley. Mr. Mosley was born at Richmond, Wray county, Missouri, March 28, 1871, and departed this life March 24, 1941, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 26 days. Febuary 26 he was stricken with paralysis from which he never recovered. He was married to Tillie Lee of Shickley, Nebr., March 2, 1898. They left for Farnam, where they took a homestead. They resided there until 1900, then moving to a farm north of Belvidere, Nebr. In 1904 they moved four and one-half miles southeast of Ong where they have since lived. Mr. Mosley was known for his wonderful personality. His thoughts were always for others. Even to the very last of his conscious moments, his thoughts were for those who ministered to him. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife Tillie, three sons, Clyde, Roy of Ong, Lester of Carleton; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Jolly of Ong and Mrs. Oscar Danielson of Nora; four grandchildren; four sisters; one brother; three half brothers; one half sister and a host of relatives and friends. Rev. L. R. Hansberry preached the funeral sermon, assisted by Rev. R. Rush. Mrs. Herschel Gowen, Mrs. Joe Anderson, Mrs. Will Herrick and Mrs. George Gell sang, accompanied by Mrs. R. McCloughan. Interment was in the Ong cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Boswell, Luther Engdahl, Ervin Venell, Adolph Malm, Edwin Anderson and Ernest Bjork.
