Funeral Services
Held For A. D. Boas

Albert Daniel Boas died at his home on west 14th street Wednesday, October 24, 1938. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Vard V. Gray officiating. He was taken to Moorefield, his former home, for burial Saturday where brief services were held at the grave.

Albert Boas was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, September 15, 1853, one of a family of seven children born to Rev. Jacob Boas and wife Rebecca only two of whom survive—a sister in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a brother in Long Beach, California.

He was one of the pioneers of southern Lincoln county, coming there in 1883 and residing there continuously until eight years ago when he moved to Holdrege. While living in Holdrege, he has engaged in farming.

He leaves to mourn the passing of a good man, a wife nee Effie Zimmerman, a son William who is in the navy at Norfolk, [Virginia], a son Frank who is at home, and a host of friends.
