Martin E. Green died at his home Wednesday at ten o’clock, January 19 1916, at the age of 76 years.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. C. M. McCorkle officiating. His remains were taken to the Curtis Cemetery for burial.

His faithful and devoted wife has the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in the death of her companion.

Mr. Green was a good citizen and a splendid neighbor. He will be much missed in the home by his devoted wife, as their relations for a long period of married life has been congenial and closely allied in the various home and business affairs in life — a kind husband, a pioneer, a good neighbor has been dropped from the list of citizenship here in this life. During his period of illness he suffered but little, if any, and he passed out of this life with no trace of suffering.
