Died.
Frank Griffith, aged 54 years, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Minnick, between Hendley and Cambridge, last Wednesday, Feb. 10th, of la grippe.
The deceased has been residing near Farnam, Nebraska for some time, and was paying a visit to his daughter when the death summons came. Mr. Griffith was one of the early settlers in this county, having pre-empted the land east of Beaver City, now owned by Mr. Dusenberry, in 1872 or ’73. Later he homesteaded in what is now the Meyers’ neighborhood between here and Hendley. His homestead is now owned by one of the Meyers brothers. The remains were buried at the Meyers’ cemetery last Friday where his wife was buried some two years ago. The services were conducted by Rev. A. G. Forman, of this city.
