Obituary of Charles Loux
Charles Theodore Loux was born November 14, 1858, at Percival, Iowa, and departed this life in the hospital at Cambridge, Nebraska, on July 3, 1933, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 19 days.
On June 27, 1883, he was united in marriage to Emma J. Sickler, at Sidney, Iowa. To this union were born nine children: Sadie Smith, Somerset, Colorado; Jessie Gammill, of Indianola, Nebr., who preceded her father in death August 1, 1931; Lottie Moore, Glendora, California; Herbert Loux, Freedom, Nebraska; Lila Gammill, Eckert, Colorado; Edith Loux, Champion, Nebraska; Abijah Loux, Carthage, Mo.; Charles Loux, Freedom, Nebraska. There are 13 grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Loux came to southwestern Nebraka 50 years ago, immediately after their marriage, making Freedome their home, where they have since continued to reside. His wife and eight children survive him to mourn the passing of a good husband and father.
He was a member of the Church of God in which faith for a number of years he lived and died.
Funeral services were held in the Indianola Christian Church Wednesday, July 5, at 2 p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Geo. P. Clark. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
