John Stark, well known resident of this city, passed away at the home of his daughter, Miss Goldie Stark, BUffalo County Superintendent of Schools, in Kearney, Friday, May 8, 1942.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Lexington, at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. J. J. Sheaff officiating. Burial was made in a Eustis cemetery.

Mr. Stark was born in Boone county, Iowa and had attained the age of 74 years, 1 month and 29 days. FOr over fifteen years he was custodian of the Methodist church in this city and for the last year was in ill health.

His wife preceded him in death and he is survived by four children, Goldie Stark of Kearney, Harold of Mountain Home, Idaho, Merle, of Lexington, and Ivan of North Platte.
