Obituary Collection
Cyrus J. McBeth

Cyrus J. McBeth, another old timer of this country, responded to the long roll Tuesday evening and breathed his last at 8 o’clock. His death was not unexpected as he had been suffering a long time from consumption. About a year ago he began to fail rapidly and last spring he was obliged to give up active work.

Mr. McBeth was one of the early settlers, but about seven years ago he moved to Washington. Last June, in company with his wife and little daughter, he returned to Eustis in the hope that the change of climate would benefit his health. Since that time he has been residing on the Drewing farm fives miles west of Eustis.

Mr. McBeth was 48 years old on the 22d of April. He leaves a widow and a little daughter aged five years. Charles, John and William Law, all well known to Eustis people, are his step-sons.

The deceased was a member of Sumas Lodge No. 85, I.O.O.F. of Sumas, Wash. The Farnam and Eustis lodges of Odd Fellows united in conducting the funeral. The services were held at the McBeth residence at 1 o’clock this afternoon and the body was laid to rest in the Eustis cemetery.
