James P. Johnson, age 77 years, retired farmer, passed away this morning about three o’clock at his home at 120 West 13th Street after a lingering illness of leakage of the heart.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and one son. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at the Maloney Chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment will be made in the Ellis Cemetery, fourteen miles north of this city.
