Word was received in Farnam Monday from Gothenburg announcing death of Abe Parsons, one of the oldest citizens of this neighborhood. He was born Feb. 18, 1847 at Mortonville, Pennsylvania on Brandywine River. He was unmarried and no relatives in the country but was well known among the old timers here and was always ready to assist any one in distress. He was known everywhere as Abe and was always welcome at any of the original settlers home.

The last 15 years of his life was spent in employ at K. Bird at Gothenburg.

A better hearted man never lived may he rest in peace.
