Apoplectic Stroke Is Fatal to W. L. DeClow
Willis L. DeClow, 72, for many years proprietor of the jack barns near Marion and well known to farmers and stock men, died suddenly at his home, 216 Seventeenth street NE, at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday following a stroke of apoplexy suffered twenty minutes earlier. Mr. DeClow was born in Pennsylvania and had lived in Cedar Rapids for thirty-eight years. Besides his wife, Lucy, he is survived by two brothers, Frank of Iowa City and Ora of Sherman, N.Y. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Friends may call at the Beatty chapel.
Funeral services will be held in the Beatty chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park.
