Obituary Collection
James A. Forrest

From Virgil Lee, who was among our callers this morning, we learn that a man named Wm. Forrest [James A. Forrest], committed suicide at his home near Farnam, last Monday, by shooting himself. Forrest had been to Farnam after coal and lumber and returned home about ten o’clock, and was soon after found dead in a granary. As to the cause for Forrest’s rash act we are not informed. He was an old soldier and a member of the G.A.R. post at Farnam. His remains were interred in the national cemetery, near Cottonwood Springs.
