Daniel M. Airhart
Daniel Milford Airhart of 377 E. Pasadena street passed away suddenly at the family home Tuesday afternoon. He had been recovering from an illness of nearly two years and at the time of his death was reciting one of his favorite poems to a group of his wife’s friends.
Mr. Airhart was born May 23, 1887, in Savanna, Ill. He resided in Savanna all his life until 1941 when, retiring after nearly 35 years of service with the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroad, he moved to Pomona. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Pomona, the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America, and the Loyal Star of America, an auxiliary of that brotherhood, in Savanna.
Mr. and Mrs. Airhart would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in October this year.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Louella Airhart, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Morris of Cincinnati, O.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Blackman Funeral chapel.
